Come Visit Me at Medium!

April 2019
I'm finding my way as a writer, and sometimes that means exploring where and how I'm sharing my writing. I started writing at Medium in March, and it's been pretty amazing so far. I'm still writing here, but am over there more often, so please come see me there or visit my main page.

I have a lifelong love affair with books.  Some come and go from my life, others stick with me through all time (Santa Mouse comes to mind).  I have boxes full of books waiting to come out so I can run my fingers over their spines, breathe their pages in, and fall back into their stories.

Are you on Goodreads?  If not, why not?  I absolutely love this website.  You can find me and connect with me here.

Currently Reading

I'm not a one-book-at-a-time kind of gal.  I am often reading 5 or 6 books all at once, including the audiobooks I listen to on my commute.  I never know what I'll be in the mood for, so I end up reading several books on my Nook.  Sometimes I'm reading my book club book.  Sometimes I find a book around the house and devour it in a day or two.

Book Club

My book club meets once a month, usually somewhere around Seattle.  By around Seattle I mean it could be anywhere from Lynnwood to Samamish to Carnation to Tacoma.  And, usually once a year, the girls come up to Bellingham to see me!  They're my tribe, and this is a list of books we've read in the 10 years we've been together.

Books Read

Here are the books I've read since 2008 when I started tracking my reads!

Books to Read

One of the things I love about Goodreads is being able to track books I want to read.  I can scan the barcode at the book store and add it directly to my list of someday-books, I can get recommendations from friends, and I can sort them into categories so when I'm in the mood for something in particular it's easy to go back and give myself a recommendation.  This is my ever-growing list of books to read.
